INTRUSION DETECTION

Precision Detection for High-Risk Environments.

Tactical AI combines advanced detection hardware with intelligent algorithms to identify unauthorised movement across internal, external and perimeter areas.

From indoor motion devices and protected access points to rugged outdoor sensors, each component is selected around the environment and integrated into a coordinated security response.

DETECTION / VERIFICATION / RESPONSE

EARLIER DETECTION

A security system should identify the threat before it reaches the asset.

A conventional alarm often confirms that something has already happened. A door has opened, a window has broken or movement has occurred inside a protected room.

Tactical AI designs intrusion detection around earlier awareness.

Internal, external and perimeter devices work together to identify activity at different stages of an attempted breach. The system can detect movement near a boundary, an approach towards a building, interference with a protected opening or unauthorised activity inside the property.

Each activation is linked to its location, device and security zone. When visual verification and offsite monitoring are included, operators receive additional context to help them understand what is happening and determine the appropriate response.

The objective is not simply to generate an alarm. It is to create enough time and information for an informed intervention.

DETECTION ACROSS THE PROPERTY

Different risks require different forms of protection.

An effective intrusion system protects more than one point of entry. It creates connected layers across the property boundary, building exterior, access points and internal areas.

Indoor Detection

Indoor motion detectors monitor protected rooms, passages and operational areas. Depending on the environment, sensors may use more than one detection method to distinguish relevant movement from environmental changes and routine activity.

Doors, Windows and Glass

Opening detectors identify when a protected door or window is opened. Shock, tilt and vibration detection can identify interference before access is gained, while glass-break detectors respond to the characteristic sound of breaking glass.

Using more than one form of detection provides greater context around an attempted entry.

Outdoor and Perimeter Detection

Outdoor detectors monitor approaches to buildings, gardens, yards, passages and other external areas. Curtain detectors create narrow detection zones along walls, windows and selected boundaries, while longer-range and perimeter devices can provide earlier warning across larger properties.

Outdoor equipment is selected according to the detection distance, terrain, vegetation, lighting, animals and environmental conditions of the site. Rugged devices with anti-masking and tamper protection may be used where the risk or exposure requires them.

Panic and Hold-Up Protection

Panic and hold-up devices allow authorised users to raise an immediate alert when assistance is required. These activations can be prioritised within the monitoring workflow and escalated according to the site’s emergency procedure.

The final combination of detectors is determined by the vulnerabilities of the property rather than by a standard equipment package.

VERIFICATION WITH CONTEXT

Visual information helps explain what triggered the alarm.

An intrusion signal identifies the detector and protected area involved, but it may not show what caused the activation.

Visual alarm verification adds photographic or video information to the event. Selected motion detectors can capture a short sequence of images when an alarm occurs, while associated CCTV cameras can provide live or recorded footage of the relevant area.

This allows authorised users and monitoring personnel to assess whether the event involves a person entering a protected space, suspicious movement near a boundary, an accidental activation or another operational issue.

Visual verification helps reduce unnecessary escalation while ensuring genuine threats receive appropriate attention. It also provides response teams with clearer information about the location and nature of the incident.

The system is configured to provide relevant event information while maintaining controlled access to images and footage.

SYSTEM INTEGRITY

The system must remain connected, supervised and correctly configured.

Intrusion detection depends on more than the sensitivity of an individual sensor. Detector selection, positioning, communication and system supervision all influence performance.

Tactical AI designs wireless, wired and hybrid intrusion systems according to the construction, scale and operation of the property. Wireless technology can reduce installation disruption and support flexible expansion. Wired systems may be appropriate for new developments, larger buildings and structured commercial installations. A hybrid design can combine both approaches within the same security environment.

Tactical AI uses Ajax as a principal intrusion-detection platform. Ajax provides connected wireless, wired and hybrid options for residential, commercial and higher-risk applications. The appropriate product line and system configuration are determined during the site assessment.

The system can supervise communication between compatible devices and the central hub. Depending on the selected equipment, it may identify communication loss, tampering, masking attempts, power failure and low battery conditions.

Correct configuration also helps reduce false alarms. Installation height, detector angle, environmental movement, animals, sensitivity and routine activity are considered when detection areas are established. The completed system is tested under actual site conditions and can be adjusted if recurring activation patterns are identified.

FROM DETECTION TO ACTION

A detected breach should initiate a defined response.

Intrusion detection is most effective when it is connected to verification, monitoring and intervention.

When a detector activates, the system identifies the protected area and presents the available event information. An offsite operator can review visual-verification images, associated CCTV footage and relevant system data to determine the nature of the activation.

Depending on the verified event and approved site procedure, the response may include contacting designated personnel, issuing a live audio warning, activating sirens or strobes, escalating to the appointed security provider or initiating a connected fight-back measure.

The operator can continue monitoring the event as it develops and provide response personnel with information about the location, movement and visible nature of the threat.

This creates a coordinated path from detection and verification to intervention and escalation.

APPLICATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION

Intrusion protection configured around the environment.

Tactical AI designs intrusion systems for homes, residential complexes, estates, offices, retail properties, warehouses, construction sites, agricultural environments and other high-risk locations.

Residential properties may require discreet internal protection, monitored doors and windows, outdoor movement detection and panic controls. Estates and office parks often require coordinated protection across entrances, shared areas, buildings and perimeter zones.

Warehouses and logistics facilities may need layered detection around loading areas, storage spaces, vehicle routes and high-value assets. Construction sites require adaptable protection as boundaries, access points and equipment locations change. Agricultural and remote properties may depend on rugged, longer-range devices and reliable communication across large areas.

Every installation begins with a site and risk assessment. Tactical AI identifies vulnerable areas, evaluates the existing infrastructure and determines where each layer of detection should begin.

The system is then designed, installed and configured around the property. Detection zones, user permissions, alerts, monitoring connections and response actions are established before the system is tested and commissioned.

Existing intrusion infrastructure does not always need to be replaced completely. Where appropriate, compatible equipment may be retained, repositioned, reconfigured or integrated into a broader security architecture.

The result is a system designed around the risks that matter, with the capacity to expand as the property or its requirements change.

Detect the breach. Understand the event. Respond with clarity.

Whether you require internal protection, outdoor detection or a complete perimeter security system, Tactical AI can develop an intrusion solution around your environment, operational risks and response requirements.
